At Mid Wales Logs we sell seasoned and unseasoned firewood, kiln dried kindling and eco firelighters. We also offer a range of other service including log store construction, tree felling and on site firewood processing.

We are a professional, personal and passionate company and take great pride in the high standards of our products and service.

Our usual log size is between 8 to 10 inches, however we can provide logs cut to smaller or larger sizes to fit the size of the wood burner you have. Just get in touch to arrange what you need.

Seasoned Logs

Seasoned bulk bags of firewood.

Mix of Ash, Oak, Douglas, Birch, Beech, Sycamore, and other locally sourced timber. Moisture content less than 22%.

Bag sizes we now use are 85x85x85cm. Free delivery is up to 15 miles. Bags tipped out.

We can leave logs in the bags for a £2 per bag refundable deposit.

Unseasoned Logs

Unseasoned bulk bags of firewood.

Mix of Ash Oak Douglas Birch Beech Sycamore and other locally sourced timber. These logs are not ready to burn and will need to be stored and seasoned for 12 months.

Supplied in standard bulk bags (85x85x85cm). Free delivery is up to 15 miles. Bags tipped out.

We can leave logs in the bags for a £2 per bag refundable deposit.

Bagiau Bach

'Bagiau bach'. Our smaller bags of firewood for those with less storage space or not needing a large bag of logs. Also ideal for holiday lets.

Contains a mix of Ash, Oak, Douglas, Birch, Beech, Sycamore, and other locally sourced timber.

Supplied in bags (50x50x50cm).

We also offer these as a bundle including kindling and firelighters.

Eco Firelighters

We are pleased to announce we now stock eco firelighters. They are made from natural, renewable, untreated wood shavings, dipped in paraffin wax.

One burns from 8-10mins. Completely odourless leaving no remnants or smells on your hands.

Kindling

Make lighting your fire really easy with these premium kiln dried fire kindling sticks.

This kindling wood is made from Sitka, Larch and Douglas Fir and dried to create a moisture content of under 10%. Use to light indoor and outdoor fires.

A family business

Our family run business started in 2014 based in Machynlleth, Mid Wales. It began when we ourselves found it hard to source reliable dry timber for our home fires. We saw a gap in the market so Mid Wales Logs was born.

Since starting a family in 2015 and adding another boy in 2018, we found Mid Wales Logs gives us the opportunity to earn a living, teach our boys useable skills, and spend much appreciated time together. It's not unusual for both our boys to come along to deliveries and help out whilst with us.
